Since receiving her master's in physical
therapy from WVU in 2001, Sheyi Ojofeitimi has been a woman on
the move. She spends her time studying how people move and patching
them up when they move the wrong way. As a research associate
for the Adam Center at Long Island University, she works extensively
with the Alvin Ailey of America Dance Theater. The dance company
was founded by Alvin Ailey in 1958 as an avenue for black modern
dancers to express their art and their love for dance. Today,
AAADT receives international, critical acclaim for its artistry
and unique style of modern and classical dance.
