A photography contest intended to highlight the natural beauty of West Virginia was held in conjunction with Mountaineer Week activities. Each WVU student was allowed to enter two photographs.
Melanie McKee, a senior graphic design and art education major from Slanesville, West Virginia, won first place and viewers' choice honors. Her photos were taken in rural Preston County.
